Jute is a natural vegetable fibre made from the outer stem and skin of the jute plant. Harvested fibres are spun into yarn which is then used to make reusable bags and other products. The plants are easily farmed without pesticides and grow to maturity within 6 months. The material is entirely biodegradable and compostable. This bag is imported from India, where the jute plant grows plentifully, and which is the largest exporter of jute and jute products in the world. It’s then finished off by sewing on a branded polyester front pocket, which is made in South Africa. Because the pocket is branded before being sewn on to the bag, it can be sublimated in full colour, with edge-to-edge coverage. The minimum order quantity required for this bag is 100 units, and a slightly longer lead time is required to brand the pocket and sew it on to the bag.
